Aglianico del Vulture DOC Lògos 2015 Ripanero

Just to produce that much loved Aglianico del Vulture, three friends decided to take care of 4 hectares of vineyards on the Vulture, in Basilicata, and to work them according to the ancient winemaking practices with the utmost respect for nature. Lògos is one of the two expressions of the autochthonous grape variety.

The Aglianico grapes used to vinify this wine come from a single owned vineyard located in the Contrada Croce di Musio and cultivated according to an organic farming method. The soil in this area is of the clayey type, with scarce limestone endowment. The must obtained after pressing the grapes ferments by the action of indigenous yeasts and then refines in terracotta amphorae.

The intense and deep ruby red color introduces a complex bouquet of licorice, black pepper and blackberries. The sip is full, structured, with a linear and vivid fresh-savory texture, which will lead this Aglianico during its long evolution.

Perfect if combined with a plate of very mature cheeses, also with a particular flavor.
