Aglianico del Vulture DOC Physis 2015 Ripanero

Physis is an Aglianico del Vulture born from a cru owned by the Ripanero company, located precisely in Rionero in Vulture. The winery was born from the common desire of three friends to vinify local grapes according to an organic farming method, capable of respecting nature and traditions.

It comes from the vineyard owned in Contrada San Savino, defined by a sandy-silty and ash-rich soil, a consequence of its volcanic origin. The average age of the vines, exposed to the east at an altitude of 560 meters above sea level, is around 6 years. After alcoholic fermentation spontaneously triggered by the action of indigenous yeasts, the wine ages in Slavonian oak barrels.

At sight it shows an intense ruby red color. The perfume is defined by notes of myrtle, citrus and red fruit. In the mouth the tannic texture is pronounced, and well managed in the complex of a structured and soft body.

Perfect to accompany stewed lamb chops.
