Amaro Formidabile

Amaro Formidabile is a bitter liqueur made by hand from the maceration of aromatic and officinal plants in pure grain alcohol. Born from the comparison with the liqueur tradition and finally reveals itself with an absolutely exclusive formulation and an original, unmistakable style, born from the skilful combination of herbs, flowers, barks, roots and fruit peels, including red cinchona, Chinese rhubarb, absinthe , gentian, bitter orange, star anise and muscat rose.

It appears amber in color. On the nose it gives a complex aroma, made of citrus, smoked notes, coccoin and toasted Criollo cocoa beans. In the mouth it is enveloping and velvety, rich in sensations reminiscent of citrus fruits, anise, spices, up to a toasted, woody, oriental base, followed by notes of licorice, bitter almond, coffee and dark chocolate in a very long the final.

Ideal to be served cold, without ice, at the end of a meal. It can be paired with bitter chocolate with candied orange peel, with Sassello amaretti, or be the perfect ingredient for the preparation of high-level cocktails.
