Description

The Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Villa Rizzardi of the Guerrieri Rizzardi winery was born in historic vineyards located in the foothills of Negrar, in the classic Valpolicella. High quality wine, it has received several prestigious awards over time.

It is produced with Corvinone, Rondinella, Corvina and Barbera grapes, harvested manually with selection of the bunches in the vineyard. The grapes are left to dry for 3 months in the fruit cellar before alcoholic fermentation with long maceration in steel tanks and malolactic fermentation in barriques. The wine then ages for 12 months in barrique and for another 24 months in barrels, before being bottled.

It presents an important bouquet, with intense hints of macerated fruit, aromas of cedar and notes of licorice and eucalyptus, which evolve leaving room for aromas of ripe cherry and blond tobacco. On the palate it is fresh, harmonious, with unmistakable earthy notes and a very long finish. Wine with an excellent structure, it has a good tannic texture and a sweet note.

To be enjoyed after settling, it is an excellent meditation wine. At the table it goes very well with red meats, game, game and curry dishes. Also try it with a selection of aged cheeses.
