Description

The Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Costasera Red Edition from the Masi winery is a limited edition of the famous Amarone that grows in the vineyards overlooking Lake Garda, in the Valpolicella Classica area.

It is produced from Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes, all harvested and selected manually. This Amarone represents, for the Masi winery, the point of reference for this category of wines, which together with Barolo and Brunello symbolize the aristocracy of Italian reds. Costasera is the result of the Masi's experience in the drying technique. The grapes used, once harvested, rest on bamboo trellises during the winter thus concentrating the aromas.

Costasera Amarone Classico is characterized by an intense ruby red colour. The nose opens with an intense bouquet of cooked fruit, plums and cherries. On the palate it is fruity, enriched by aromas of coffee and cocoa. This is a refined, balanced and pleasantly elegant wine.

Perfect to accompany red meats and game, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
