Description

The Amarone della Valpolicella Classico by Gerardo Cesari is born from vineyards located in the municipalities of Negrar, Marano di Valpolicella, Sant'Ambrogio, Fumane, and San Pietro in Cariano, in the historical area of Valpolicella.

It is mainly produced with Corvina Veronese grapes and Rondinella and Rossignola grapes, harvested manually in crates and left to dry in a fruit drying room to increase their sugar concentration. Fermentation takes place, with maceration in contact with the skins for 20-30 days, in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is subjected to a maturation period of 36 months, of which 12 are in Slavonian oak barrels and partly in French oak barriques and tonneaux.

In the glass, it presents an intense purple red color. On the nose, it opens with a complex bouquet, with notes of cherry and plum jam, together with hints of vanilla and toasted aroma. On the palate, it is full and harmonious, balanced, warm, and persistent.

Perfect for accompanying game, grilled and stewed meat, this Amarone is ideal as a meditation wine.
