Description

Barbera d'Alba Collezione del Conte is a wine that originates from 100% Barbera grapes, in the Monforte d'Alba vineyard. Barbera, an autochthonous Piedmontese grape among the most appreciated and versatile in Italy, is celebrated in this wine which enhances the terroir of origin. The soil is particularly clayey, cold, and this allows for longer and more homogeneous ripening of the grapes.

In the early stages of vinification there is pressing and cold maceration for 2 days. This is followed by fermentation in steel vats at a controlled temperature for 8 days. It still macerates for a few days and then ages in large Slavonian oak barrels for 10 months.

Its intense ruby red color shines in the glass, while hints of ripe red fruit stand out on the nose. On the palate it is fresh, dry and long-lasting.

Due to its remarkable organoleptic qualities, it is the most suitable wine for marrying land-based first courses. Excellent to be combined with red sauces, it is celebrated harmoniously with a plate of tortellini in broth. Try it with pizza.
