Description
The Barbera d'Alba Pochi Filàgn produced by Lorenzo Accomasso in Piedmont is made from Barbera grapes grown on clay-limestone soils in the La Morra area, selected to enhance the typicity of the grape variety.
The winemaking follows a traditional method with fermentation in steel and a long aging in large oak barrels, aimed at creating structure and depth without altering the balance between fruit and acidity.
In the glass, it presents with an intense ruby color; aromas of cherry preserved in alcohol, ripe plum, withered violet, spices, and earthy notes unfold. The sip is robust, structured, and tense, with soft tannins, lively acidity, and a persistent finish.
Perfect paired with grilled red meat, braised dishes, and aged cheeses.
