Description

Rattalino's Barbera d'Alba Five is composed of 100% Barbera grapes, which give life to this splendid wine, which is born in Diano d'Alba from a calcareous and clayey soil, which forces the vine to seek nourishment more deeply, giving the wine a juicy and dense character.

Vinification in steel tanks, with 12 days of maceration in contact with the skins.

Brilliant ruby red wine, the nose opens with strong hints of red fruit, cherries in alcohol, sweet spices and tobacco. In the mouth it is characterized by very soft tannins, ample volume and a soft finish.

A very pleasant wine, of great persistence and easy to drink, it goes wonderfully with elaborate and well-seasoned dishes such as croutons with ham or Arnaud's lard. Absolutely to be tried with a platter of medium-aged cheeses, also as an accompaniment to an omelette with truffles and veal with tuna sauce.
