Description
Barolo Annunziata by Agricola Brandini originates from the Annunziata cru in the municipality of La Morra, using Nebbiolo da Barolo grapes, and expresses an elegant and refined style, typical of this prestigious subzone. This wine represents a harmonious synthesis between tradition and local identity, standing out for its finesse and capacity for evolution.
The vinification process includes destemming and gentle pressing, followed by alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperature to preserve the freshest aromas, with about three weeks of maceration on the skins and frequent pump-overs. After malolactic fermentation in steel, the wine is transferred to wood for a long aging period in large barrels, followed by a further maturation in bottle to complete its development.
Visually, it displays a garnet color. The nose is elegant, with notes of small red fruits and hints of sweet tobacco. On the palate, it is intense and fruity, with a silky tannic structure, supported by good freshness and balanced persistence.
It pairs well with red meats, braised dishes, game, and aged cheeses.
