Description

Barolo Arborina is a wine produced by Elio Altare in the municipality of La Morra, made from Nebbiolo grapes grown on clay-sandy marl soils with southern exposure. The vineyards, characterized by varying ages, contribute to the complexity and depth of a wine that precisely expresses the character of the Arborina cru.

Vinification involves maceration on the skins in a rotofermenter at controlled temperature for several days, encouraging a delicate and balanced extraction. The wine is aged in partly new French barriques for an extended period, during which it develops elegance, finesse, and a harmonious tannin texture.

It displays a lively ruby-red color with garnet highlights. The nose reveals fruity and floral notes, evoking flower petals, accompanied by an ethereal and sweet component. On the palate it is elegant and refined, with a fine and harmonious style, characterized by light and well-integrated tannins.

It pairs ideally with structured dishes such as red meats, braised meats, and aged cheeses.
