Description
Giacomo Conterno's Barolo Francia is one of the most famous labels of this extraordinary producer from the Langhe. The grapes come from the Vigneto Francia, which is located in the cru of the same name, in the southern part of the Serralunga d'Alba territory.
The cool climate, always ventilated and the soil composed of calcareous-clayey marl, allow the Nebbiolo to reach maturity with an intense and rich aromatic profile. At the end of the fermentation process, the wine matures for approximately 48 months in large oak barrels.
In the most typical style of the great Serralunga reds, it is garnet red with a profile of austere elegance, with aromas of juicy raspberry, liquorice and tobacco, with a powerful but balanced structure and a surprising complexity. This Barolo has a long and persistent finish, making it an ideal wine for aging.
This Barolo pairs perfectly with red meat dishes, game and mature cheeses, enhancing the flavors with its depth and richness.
