Description
The Barolo del Comune di La Morra by Agricola Brandini originates from the La Morra area, made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, elegantly expressing the distinctive qualities of this region, renowned for producing more refined and harmonious Barolos. This is a wine that faithfully reflects its terroir, boasting a balanced style and great ageing potential.
Vinification takes place through spontaneous fermentation in temperature-controlled steel tanks, with skin maceration for about three weeks and frequent pump-overs. The aging continues in large barrels for a long period, followed by further refinement in the bottle, which helps develop complexity and harmony.
In the glass, it shows a garnet color. The nose is elegant, with notes of red fruit accompanied by fresh hints of mint. On the palate, it is intense and round, with a well-integrated tannic structure and good acidity that gives balance and persistence.
It pairs perfectly with red meats, roasts, braised dishes, and aged cheeses.
