Barolo Gramolere Riserva DOCG 2011 Giovanni Manzone
Description
The Barolo Gramolere Riserva di Manzone Giovanni was born in the homonymous vineyard located in Monforte d'Alba, in the Piedmontese Langhe area.
It is produced exclusively with Nebbiolo grapes, harvested during the first and second ten days of October. After a 21-day maceration at a controlled temperature of 28 - 31 ° C, the wine ages in 700-liter oak barrels for 36 months and is bottled 60 months after the harvest.
Gramolere Riserva has a beautiful ruby red color with garnet reflections, with deep and intense shades. The nose opens with a large and enveloping bouquet, with evident hints of ripe fruit, floral sensations and a spicy finish of nutmeg and pepper. In the mouth it is warm and vigorous, with a great structure; a pleasant aftertaste of vanilla and tobacco blends harmoniously with sweet and powerful tannins.
Perfect to accompany truffles, this wine is ideal in combination with game, stewed meats and important aged cheeses.
