Product details
Barolo San Rocco DOCG 2014 Azelia
Description
This Barolo originates in the cru of Barolo San Rocco, located within the Cuneo municipality of Serralunga d'Alba.
It is made with Nebbiolo grapes only, whose must ferments for 4-5 weeks in vertical stainless steel tanks. The wine ages for 24 months in barriques where it develops power and austerity.
Ruby red wine with garnet reflections, it opens to the nose with a strong spicy imprint, with hints of licorice on all, enriched with fruity notes of cherry, black currant and blueberry. In the mouth it proves strong and velvety, with integrated tannins that elegantly punctuate its structure and complexity.
Ideal with meat-based first and second courses, it is excellent with aged cheeses and game.
