Bas Armagnac AOC XO Château de Laubade
Description
Château de Laubade's XO is obtained from Ugni-Blanc, Folle Blanche, Colombard and Baco grapes, coming from owned vineyards located in the heart of Bas Armagnac. The distillation takes place variety by variety and uses a selection of Gascony oak barrels for the maturation, from 15 to 25 years according to the specific variety.
It shines in a bright amber glass. The aroma is broad and enveloping, with notes of plum and vanilla that mix with hints of cinnamon, cocoa and orange peel, with a conclusive touch of toasted bread. It is an armagnac of great finesse and elegance, with a very long lasting finish.
Valuable after dinner, it goes very well with traditional French cheeses Pont-l-Évêque and Livarot, as well as refined chocolate cakes.
