Description
The Bolgheri Ocra delle Tenute Guicciardini Strozzi was born in the vineyards of the Le Pavoniere estate in Bolgheri, in Tuscany. Its name, of Etruscan origin, means "the blood of the earth", since this wine is closely linked to the territory in which it is created.
It is produced 40% with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, 40% with Merlot grapes and 20% with Syrah grapes, vinified with careful control of the fermentation temperature. Before bottling, the wine rests for 12 months in oak barrels, to create a perfect combination of power and sweetness.
It is characterized by an intense ruby red color, enriched with purple reflections. The bouquet has intense fruity hints, with evident notes of blackberry and blueberry and light spicy nuances of leather and tobacco. In the mouth it is a wine of great structure, with tannins present but soft and velvety and excellent persistence.
Perfect to accompany red meats, it is ideal in combination with the traditional Florentine steak. Excellent also with aged cheeses.
