Description

Harte is a Bolgheri Superiore red wine produced by Tenuta Fratini in the area of Castagneto Carducci, in the hamlet of Donoratico, Tuscany. It is made from a blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, grown on sedimentary soils rich in limestone, marble, claystone, and sandstone, which lend complexity and elegance.

The winemaking process involves manual harvesting of the grapes followed by careful selection in the cellar. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel truncated-conical tanks, using wild yeasts to best express the character of the terroir. The wine then ages in second and third-use barriques for a period of 12 months, developing balance and aromatic depth.

Visually, it displays a bright, luminous ruby red color. On the nose, it offers intense notes of ripe red and black fruits, accompanied by elegant floral and spicy nuances. On the palate, it is deep and harmonious, supported by a pleasant acidity that brings freshness and vibrancy, with well-integrated tannins and a persistent finish recalling hints of blueberries and mulberry.

It pairs perfectly with traditional Tuscan dishes such as pici with wild boar ragout, pappardelle, white truffle, and Chianina beef tagliata.
