Description
The Bolgheri Superiore Bell'Aja is predominantly made from Merlot grapes, harvested from the first parcel of the San Felice estate vineyard located in Le Sondraie, Bolgheri, a picturesque and captivating location near the sea expanse, with small additions of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.
The must ferments in contact with its skins for 25 days, and then matures in French oak barrels for 18 months.
The wine has a concentrated ruby red color, and the nose reveals an intense aroma with hints of ripe fruit, licorice, and cocoa. The taste is full and dense, with silky and enveloping tannins.
Excellent when paired with all red meat dishes, roasted, stewed, or grilled.
