Bolgheri Superiore DOC I Castagni 2015 Michele Satta

The Bolgheri Superiore I Castagni of the Michele Satta company takes its name from the I Castagni vineyard, which over the years has revealed a "superior" character.

It is mainly produced with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and Syrah and Teroldego grapes all harvested and selected manually. Fermentation takes place in wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. Subsequently the wine ages in barriques for 18 months and for further 18 months in bottle.

This wine is characterized by an intense and intense ruby red color with black shades. The nose opens with an elegant bouquet of ripe red and black fruits, enriched with pleasantly complex balsamic and mineral notes. On the palate it is soft, thanks to its ripe tannins. This wine gives a pleasantly persistent, refined and energetic finish.

Very versatile in the combination, it proves particularly suitable to accompany great meat recipes.
