Description
The Bourgogne Chardonnay by Maison Ropiteau Frères originates from a wide appellation that brings together four major wine-growing regions of Burgundy: Yonne, Côte d'Or, Côte Chalonnaise, and Mâconnais. Each terroir contributes different characteristics, allowing for a balanced wine that reflects the style of the maison. The soils, predominantly clay-limestone, vary significantly from village to village, directly influencing the profile of the Chardonnay grape.
The vinification takes place in stainless steel vats to preserve maximum freshness and fruit. This is followed by a six-month aging in barrels, which enriches the wine's structure and enhances its complexity, giving it greater fullness and roundness while maintaining its original vivacity.
With a bright yellow color and hints of green, it opens on the nose with a fruity bouquet and delicate floral notes. On the palate, it is balanced, with a perfect harmony between freshness and softness, making it extremely pleasant and versatile.
Excellent on its own as an aperitif, it pairs well with cold cuts or fish dishes in creamy sauce.
