Description

Ugolforte Riserva is a Brunello di Montalcino from Tenuta San Giorgio, produced in the southeastern area of Montalcino, at Castelnuovo dell’Abate, from vineyards situated between 250 and 400 meters above sea level. Made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes, this wine authentically expresses the strength of its terroir, characterized by poor, rocky soils rich in minerals, which impart structure, depth, and great character.

The grapes, harvested by hand and carefully selected, are vinified in oak vats with long maceration on the skins to ensure a complete extraction of aromas and structure. After malolactic fermentation, the wine undergoes a lengthy aging period in large Slavonian oak barrels, followed by further rest that helps develop complexity, elegance, and harmony.

In the glass it displays a ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose it stands out for its intensity and depth, with a complex and bold aromatic profile. On the palate it is structured and enveloping, supported by a dense but well-balanced tannic framework and a lively acidity that leads the sip towards a long and persistent finish.

It pairs perfectly with rich dishes such as red meats, game, and mature cheeses.
