Description

Ugolforte Riserva is a Brunello di Montalcino from Tenuta San Giorgio, produced in the south-eastern area of Montalcino, in Castelnuovo dell’Abate, from vineyards located between 250 and 400 metres above sea level. Made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes grown according to organic farming principles, this wine authentically expresses the strength of the area, characterized by poor and rocky soils rich in minerals, which give the wine structure, depth, and great character.

The grapes, hand-harvested and carefully selected, are vinified in oak vats with extended maceration on the skins to allow for a full extraction of aromas and structure. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for a long period in large Slavonian oak barrels, followed by additional refinement that contributes to the development of complexity, elegance, and harmony.

In the glass, it has a ruby red color with garnet highlights. The nose is intense and deep, with a complex and bold aromatic profile. On the palate, it is structured and enveloping, supported by a dense yet well-balanced tannic texture and lively acidity that carries the taste towards a long and persistent finish.

It pairs perfectly with robust dishes such as red meats, game, and aged cheeses.
