Description
The wine is born in a family-run estate, located in the northern area of the famous Montalcino hill, in the locality of Montosoli, which has always been renowned for the refined elegance of its wines. The cool and breezy climate and the good temperature ranges favor the ripening of grapes rich in perfumes and aromas.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature with maceration on the skins lasting 3 or 4 weeks. Before bottling, the wine ages in large oak barrels for at least 3 years.
Ruby in color, on the nose it expresses the classic varietal characters, with aromas of ripe cherries, hints of black currant and morello cherry, nuances of violet, spices, leather and undergrowth. The sip is smooth and agile, with ripe tannins and a good complexity and gustatory persistence.
To be combined with roast game, cut of beef or with a grilled fillet.
