Description
Boutinot's Zinfandel Old Vine is produced in Lodi, California.
A typical grape of the Lodi area, it recalls Primitivo in terms of density and aromatic complexity. After harvesting, the grapes are fermented in steel before spending a short period of ageing in cask.
Intense ruby red, it shows hints of fleshy red fruits on the nose, with spicy and spicy notes and a light smoke. On the palate it is dense and clean, to offer an agile sip and in which red fruits stand out, with a good persistence and a lot of filling.
Ideal with first courses with meat sauce, grilled bacon and red meats.
