Description

Equinox is an evocative red wine that owes its name to the celebration of the first harvest day, September 21st. From the Latin Aequa-Nox, equal night, it symbolizes one of only two days that, during the year, have the same duration: the day when summer closes and welcomes autumn, a season full of symbolic references , which in this wine is also celebrated on the label.

It comes from an Aglianico - Piedirosso grape variety and is harvested in September. The grapes are harvested strictly by hand when they reach full maturity and are then subjected to cold pre-maceration and controlled temperature maceration. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperature, then aging in French oak barrels.

Its splendid ruby red color shines in the glass and presents itself to the intense and structured nose, with floral and fruity notes of cherry just mentioned, while on the palate it is a decidedly velvety wine, with an excellent balance between balance and freshness, which closes in a final of red fruits and spices.

It is the ideal wine for lovingly marrying cheeses and white meats, as well as first courses and legume soups. Excellent with dry biscuits.
