Description
The Cannonau di Sardegna from the Olianas winery was born in vineyards located in the Gergei area, on the border of the province of Cagliari with Nuoro, in the heart of Sardinia.
It is produced 95% with Cannonau grapes and 5% with Tintillu grapes, harvested manually. After destemming, the grapes are crushed and placed in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 25 - 27 ° C for alcoholic fermentation and maceration. Malolactic fermentation follows in steel tanks at 20 ° C. The wine is then placed partly in second passage barriques and partly in steel for aging for 5 months.
This Cannonau di Sardegna is a young and lively wine. It presents hints of red fruits on the nose, with evident notes of blackberry and raspberry. Overall it is a fresh and balanced wine.
Ideal to accompany earth and vegetable appetizers, it is perfect in combination with first courses.
