Rosso di Montepulciano DOC, Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG

Box containing two expressions of Prugnolo Gentile, or Sangiovese, of which both wines are composed for the most part, from the territory of Montepulciano: the Rosso and the Nobile.

If the Rosso di Montepulciano is a younger and more everyday wine, of great balance and elegance, with evident hints of red fruit and violets, and versatile in the accompaniment to the meal, the Nobile stands as the more distinct counterpart, returning from a aged for 18 months in barriques and Slavonian oak barrels. The latter plays its sensoriality on notes of black fruits and spices while on the palate it exhibits a balanced and intense taste, with a discreet tannic presence. It is ideal with dishes with meat sauce, grilled red meats or casseroles.
