Description

Box containing two expressions of Prugnolo Gentile, or Sangiovese, of which both wines are composed mostly, from the Montepulciano area: the Rosso and the Nobile.

If the Rosso di Montepulciano is a younger and everyday wine, of great balance and elegance, with evident hints of red fruit and violet, and versatile in accompanying the meal, the Nobile is the more distinct counterpart, fresh from an aging of 18 months between barriques and Slavonian oak barrels. The latter plays its sensoriality on notes of black fruits and spices while on the palate it exhibits a balanced and intense taste, with a discreet tannic presence. It is ideal with dishes with meat sauce, grilled or casseroled red meats.
