Description
This box is made up of the three shades of Geografico's Contessa di Radda range.
Toscana IGT is a blend of international vines among which Merlot stands out followed by a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon 5% and Petit Verdot 5%, which matures for a year in oak wood, and then completes the ageing for another year in barrique. Ruby red in colour with slightly garnet reflections, the nose releases hints of plum jam, ripe red fruit and black cherries, fading into spicy memories. The sip is broad, structured and with a persistent finish that leaves no room for misunderstandings: it is a wine with character and an intriguing personality. Handmade wine with attention to every detail without leaving anything by chance, it is difficult for it to go unnoticed on your table, especially if you combine it with all meats and, especially, with a pork loin.
Chianti Classico is mainly produced with Sangiovese grapes and with Canaiolo and Colorino grapes. The wine ages for 16 months in tonneaux oak barrels and for another 2 months in the bottle before being put on the market. It has a ruby red colour. The nose opens with a large and intense bouquet of violets. On the palate it is dry and balanced, slightly tannic. Perfect to accompany first courses and red meats, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
Chianti Classico Riserva is mainly obtained from Sangiovese grapes, with small percentages of Canaiolo and Colorino. It is aged for 24 months in oak tonneaux. Ruby red in colour with garnet reflections, it releases an intense and vinous aroma, with hints of ripe red fruit and spices. On the palate it is harmonious and velvety, rightly tannic. Perfect with main courses of red meat, it excels in the company of aged cheeses.
