Description
The Garnacha El Galayo is a red wine produced by Sociedad Agraria de Viticultores de Cebreros in the Sierra de Gredos, made entirely from Garnacha vines cultivated at high altitude on granite and schist soils. The yields are deliberately kept low to enhance the varietal authenticity and expressive power of this mountain terroir, characterized by significant temperature variations and environmental biodiversity.
The grapes are handpicked into crates and then spontaneously ferment in cement vats thanks to indigenous yeasts. The wine then matures for six months in large French oak barrels, a process that enhances the structure, freshness, and typicality of the grape variety without aromatic overlays.
The color is a medium-intensity bright ruby. On the nose, fresh aromas of red fruits such as strawberry, raspberry, and cherry stand out, accompanied by hints of aromatic herbs and light floral notes. On the palate, it is direct and lively, with surprising acidity, an explosion of flavors, and a long, balanced finish.
Ideal with grilled meats, roasts, sausages, and stews.
