Description
The Chablis Premier Cru from Maison Ropiteau Frères originates from well-exposed plots located in the communes of Chichée and Fleys, on the right bank of the Serein River. The vines grow on gentle slopes and sink their roots into Kimmeridgian marls, characterized by the presence of marine fossils that give the wines a marked minerality.
After pneumatic pressing and cold settling, alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for 7-10 days. The wine undergoes complete malolactic fermentation and is aged on fine lees with frequent bâtonnage to preserve its freshness and enrich its aromatic structure.
It appears pale gold in color. The nose releases notes of peach, apricot, minerality, and light menthol nuances. On the palate, it is fresh, fruity, with hints of grapefruit and a long, typical, well-defined, and persistent finish.
Ideal with seafood, grilled fish, and goat cheese.
