Description

Philipponnat's Réserve Perpétuelle Brut Champagne is made from Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier grapes sourced from the finest Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards in the heart of Champagne, with a strong predominance of Pinot Noir from the Mareuil-sur-Aÿ area, which gives the wine its distinctive character.

This cuvée, obtained exclusively from the first pressing, is enriched by 39% reserve wines that are exceptionally aged in wooden casks and managed using the Solera method, adding further complexity. The aging process, which takes place entirely in the cool cellars of the Maison, lasts for as long as 3 years on its lees, well over the 15 months required by champagne regulations.

Intense golden in color, with a lively mousse and a fine, persistent perlage, it opens on the nose with notes of vine flowers and lime blossom, soon followed by a hint of toasted bread that, with aeration, expands into fruity and honeyed aromas. On the palate, it is vinous and structured, with flavors of currant, raspberry, and ripe grape, leading to a broad and fragrant finish with a subtle biscuity note.

Perfect served chilled as an aperitif, it elegantly enhances white meats, cured meats, and fish-based dishes.
