Description
What kind of wine is it?
Ruinart Rosé Brut Champagne is a rosé made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes sourced from the Côte des Blancs, Montagne de Reims, and Vallée de la Marne. It stands out for its fresh and balanced style, with a harmonious structure and complexity born from the union of the two varieties. The winemaking follows the Traditional Method, with fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel and aging on lees for 48 months, a process that provides balance and a pleasant tension on the palate.
Where does it come from?
This Champagne is crafted in France, in the Champagne region, between the Côte des Blancs, the Montagne de Reims, and the Vallée de la Marne.
How is it made?
The grapes are harvested by hand and undergo a gentle pressing to extract a clear must. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by blending. The second fermentation occurs in the bottle following the Traditional Method, with aging on lees for at least 48 months. After riddling and disgorgement, the maison adds the final dosage that defines the Brut style.
Tasting notes
In the glass it shows a brilliant pomegranate pink color with orange hues, sustained by a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, it offers aromas of raspberry and wild strawberry, along with notes of ripe cherry and delicate scents of rose and wildflowers. The palate reveals a velvety texture, balanced between freshness and softness, and an effervescence expressing elegance and lasting persistence.
Food pairings
Ruinart Rosé Brut Champagne pairs well with shellfish, sushi, and sashimi, as well as steamed fish dishes like sea bass. Its freshness and fine perlage offer a pleasant contrast with aged cheeses. For traditional pairings, it is ideal with French gougères, while in Italian cuisine it matches well with spaghetti alle vongole, smoked salmon, and almond macarons.
When to serve it
It is best served at a temperature of 8-10 °C in tulip glasses to enhance the perlage. This wine is ready to enjoy right away, thanks to its freshness. The optimal drinking window allows you to fully appreciate its structure and complexity over time.
