Description
The Chianti Classico Riserva B asilica Solatìo di Cafaggio was born in the vineyards of the Tenuta di Cafaggio located in the heart of the Chianti hills.
It is produced exclusively from Sangiovese grapes, harvested manually in the Solatìo vineyard in early October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. After a long maceration, the wine ages for 24 months in oak barrels and for a further 6 months in bottle before being marketed.
B asilica Solatìo is characterized by an intense ruby red color. The nose opens with elegant fruity hints, enriched with pleasant aromatic hints. On the palate it is pleasantly fruity, with firm but gentle tannins that enhance light spicy sensations. The wine has a persistent finish, of great freshness and pleasantly savory.
Perfect to accompany first courses based on meat and mushroom ragout, it is ideal in combination with game and grilled meats.
