Description
The Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigna Il Corno from Castello di Radda is produced from Sangiovese grapes grown in a single vineyard at 400 meters above sea level in the area known as "Il Corno." This red wine represents the most refined expression of the Radda in Chianti territory. The clay-limestone soil rich in skeleton and the cool microclimate give the wine elegance and longevity.
Vinification takes place in stainless steel vats with skin maceration for about four weeks. It is followed by malolactic fermentation in new tonneaux, where the wine rests on the fine lees for about five months before continuing its aging in the same wood for an additional twenty months. Bottle refinement continues for at least twelve months.
With a bright ruby color with garnet reflections, it offers an intense and persistent bouquet on the nose with notes of red berries and spicy and vanilla nuances. On the palate, it appears fresh, savory, and well-balanced, with a fine and complex tannic texture that ensures long persistence.
Perfect with substantial meat or game dishes, especially structured roasts or braised meats.
