Chianti Classico DOCG Lodolaio Riserva 2012 Castelvecchi

The Chianti Classico Riserva Lodolaio di Castelvecchi was born in vineyards located on the highest hills of Radda in Chianti.

It is produced exclusively with Sangiovese grapes, harvested only by hand. The must ferments with maceration on the skins for 40 days. Subsequently, the wine initially ages in steel for 6 months, undergoes a passage in oak barrels for another 18 months and finally finishes the refinement in the bottle.

The Lodolaio di Castelvecchi is characterized by a strong ruby red color, with light garnet hues. The nose opens with fruity hints of red berries, enriched with delicate and refined spicy notes. On the palate it is intense, with excellent structure, elegantly tannic, with a great balance.

Ideal to accompany braised or barbecued red meats, it is excellent with game.
