Description

What kind of wine is it

Chianti Classico Riserva Marchese Antinori by Antinori is a Tuscan red wine with a balanced and structured character. Made from Sangiovese grapes enriched with a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine sincerely expresses the vocation of its territory. Its winemaking combines careful fermentation with lengthy aging in barrique, creating an aromatic profile in which fruity notes blend harmoniously with spicy and toasted hints.

Where does it come from

This wine is the result of a careful selection of grapes grown in the same estate where the renowned Tignanello by Antinori originates. Its belonging to the heart of Chianti Classico ensures a strong territorial identity and a precise stylistic coherence. The grapes coming from the well-known estate of origin allows the best expression of the soil characteristics and provides a solid foundation for creating this elegant red wine.

How is it produced

Production begins with manual harvesting and meticulous selection of the Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. After gentle pressing, the must undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks for about a week, followed by several days of skin maceration. Malolactic fermentation takes place in French oak barriques, barrels in which the wine rests for twenty-four months and which also benefit from the use of Hungarian oak. The process is completed with twelve months of aging in bottle.

Tasting notes

In the glass, the wine shows a clear intense ruby red color. The nose reveals a well-defined bouquet, where fruity and floral sensations blend perfectly with spicy and toasted notes coming from the passage in wood. On the palate, it is soft and balanced, offering a structured sip leading to a pleasantly aromatic finish with long-lasting persistence.

Food pairing

Thanks to its solid structure, this Riserva is the perfect choice to accompany roasts and grilled red meats. Its satisfying mouthfeel enhances the intense flavors of game and finds an ideal match with platters of aged cheeses. The delicate toasted nuances pair naturally with hearty and richly seasoned dishes of Italian culinary tradition.

When to serve it

This red with a distinct character is perfect for meat-based dinners or convivial moments when a structured and satisfying wine is desired. It is recommended to savor it slowly, allowing the glass to gradually reveal the balance acquired during barrique aging. It is the ideal choice when you want to bring to the table an enveloping wine, capable of offering a harmonious and persistent finish from the start to the end of the meal.
