Chianti Classico DOCG 2012 Poggio Bonelli

The Chianti Classico of Tenuta Poggio Bonelli is born in vineyards located in Castelnuovo Berardenga, in the heart of Chianti Classico, in the province of Siena.

It is mainly produced with Sangiovese grapes and with complementary grape varieties. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 26-28 ° C with continuous daily pumping over. Subsequently, the wine ages for 10 months in barriques and for a further 3 months in bottle before being placed on the market.

This Chianti Classico is characterized by an intense ruby red color. The nose opens with elegant aromas of berries and black cherry, enriched with pleasant spicy notes of thyme and leather. On the palate it is dry and decisive, with a balanced sweetness of French oak.

Perfect to accompany cold cuts and cold cuts, it is ideal in combination with grilled red meats and mature cheeses.
