Description

Cortevecchia is a Chianti Classico Riserva produced by Principe Corsini in the San Casciano in Val di Pesa area.

Grapes are sourced from old vineyards located at an average altitude of 300 meters above sea level and sent for fermentation in steel tanks. Fermentation lasts 14 days at a temperature of 26°C. This is followed by aging in 27-hectoliter oak barrels for 16-20 months and a further aging in the bottle for at least 6 months.

With an intense ruby red color, it releases floral notes of lavender on the nose with hints of cherry, dog rose, and pomegranate. On the palate, citrus intensity returns, blending with floral touches and dried herbs, resulting in a flavorful and very fresh sip, finished with a long and pleasant spiciness.

Ideal with roasts and braised meats, it also pairs well with pasta dishes with ragù and artichoke flan.
