Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2016 Lamole di Lamole
Description
The Chianti Classico Riserva Lamole di Lamole comes to life from the Il Prato and Le Masse vineyards of the Lamole area, from plants between 6 and 74 years of age that grow on soils rich in shale and sandstone.
The harvest of Sangiovese and Canaiolo Nero grapes takes place in October. Fermentation takes place in steel with a 16-day maceration. The wine remains for 6 months in steel then for another 26 months in large barrels, a period that gives the wine the mention of Riserva.
Its color is intense ruby red. The nose is characterized by a large but measured bouquet, austere and refined at the same time, in which intense and fresh aromas of plum are crossed by light floral tones of violet, undergrowth and minerals. On the palate it is dense and full-bodied, animated by mineral references.
In addition to the red meat of the Florentine tradition, steak and rosticciana, it goes well with lamb, braised but also with truffle-based recipes.
