Description

Chianti Classico Riserva by Castello di Volpaia is made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes grown in vineyards located at an altitude of 400-600 meters above sea level, from soils of sandstone, clay, and sandy-silty nature with a high presence of stones.

The harvest is carried out by hand in the second half of September, and the grapes are vinified at a controlled temperature. After racking, it matures in French and Slovenian oak barrels for 24 months.

In the glass, it shows a medium-intensity ruby red color with slight garnet hues. The bouquet is elegant and intense, with spicy aromas and fruity notes. On the palate, it is structured and persistent, with a significant tannic texture that gives it great drinkability.

It pairs well with red meat or game main courses. Excellent with rosemary steak or the classic 'fiorentina.'
