Chianti Colli Fiorentini DOCG Fattoria di Bagnolo Riserva 2011 Marchesi Bartolini Baldelli
Description
The Chianti Colli Fiorentini comes from the vineyards of the Fattoria di Bagnolo, historical property of the Marquises Bartolini Baldelli, located in the Impruneta area, in the province of Florence.
It is mainly produced with Sangiovese and Colorino grapes, harvested by hand with sorting of the bunches during the first ten days of October. The grapes undergo a fermentation process in steel at a controlled temperature of 27-28 °, the maceration on the skins lasts 15 days, during which pumping over and de-aging are carried out. The wine is then aged in medium roasted Allier barriques and tonneaux for 12 months, followed by 3 months in steel and cask. Following the bottling that takes place directly at the origin by the winegrower, the wine rests for another 12 months in air-conditioned rooms.
This Chianti Colli Fiorentini has an intense ruby red color, with slight garnet reflections. The scent is full, complex, with hints of cherry jam, tobacco notes and nuances of mint chocolate, pine and leather. On the palate it is sapid, soft and elegant, with strong but balanced tannins. Overall it is a wine with an elegant body and a persistent finish.
Perfect in combination with roasts with sautéed vegetables, it is ideal to accompany grilled and grilled red meats.
