Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru AOC 2017 Domaine Faiveley
Description
Renowned Burgundy grand cru, from which one of the most famous wines internationally comes to life, remembered together with labels of the caliber of Romanée-Conti or La Tâche. The vineyard, owned by the monks of Cîteaux in medieval times, was enclosed by stone walls on several occasions and today it has a surface of 50 hectares divided between 82 owners. Domaine Faivelay has 3 particles.
It is produced only from Pinot Noir grapes, whose harvest starts from the end of August. The bunches reach the fermentation tanks using gravity alone. Once fermentation is complete, the wine ages for 16-18 months in mostly new French oak barrels.
Ruby red in color, elegant florelai sensations reminiscent of the nose reminiscent of rose and violet, to which are added fruity and oak notes from the aging containers. In the mouth it is soft and powerful, with great body and structure, with an excellent gustatory persistence.
Excellent in combination with a duck breast with porcini mushrooms and in general with game dishes.
