Colli di Salerno IGT Fiano Quartara 2013 Lunarossa
Description
The Colli di Salerno Quartara di Lunarossa was born in vineyards located in Giffoni Valle Piana, at the foot of the Piacentini Mountains, in the province of Salerno.
It is mainly obtained with Fiano and Santa Sofia grapes, harvested entirely by hand in mid-September. Fermentation takes place with maceration in terracotta wineskins. Subsequently the wine ages for about 2-3 months in amphora, for 10 months in wood and in bottle for the next 10 months.
Yellow in color with golden reflections, the Quartara di Lunarossa opens to the nose with a complex bouquet, with hints of anise and hawthorn, enriched with pleasant notes of Arrunca apple, orange blossom, acacia honey and chestnut. On the palate it is a wine with good body and elegance, characterized by sweet tannins in which a perfect balance between softness and acidity is established.
Ideal to accompany fish first courses and fresh cheeses. Try it with spicy curry dishes.
