Description

The Collio Pinot Nero Défi de la Tour by Villa Russiz is born in vineyards located in the municipality of Capriva del Friuli, in the province of Gorizia.

It is produced entirely with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, harvested exclusively by hand once they have reached perfect ripeness. Fermentation takes place with maceration in contact with the skins for 20 days in steel at a controlled temperature. Subsequently the wine is aged for 35-36 months in French oak barrels and for a further 10 months in the bottle, before being marketed.

Villa Russiz's Cabernet Sauvignon Graf de la Tour has a ruby red color. The nose opens with spicy and herbaceous hints. On the palate it is soft, with well-smoothed tannins, of great balance.

Perfect to accompany roasted and stewed meats, game, dishes with truffles.
