Collio DOC Pinot Grigio 2016 Pighin
Description
Pinot Grigio di Pighin was born on the estate of the Friulian company in Spessa di Capriva, in the province of Gorizia, in the heart of the famous Collio area.
This wine, made exclusively from Pinot Grigio grapes, harvested between the end of August and the beginning of September, is left to ferment in stainless steel containers for 20 days at controlled temperatures. The storage takes place in the cellar, always in steel, and then goes through the conservative phase in cold rooms, until bottling.
Pinot Grigio di Pighin has a beautiful straw yellow color, with soft amber textures. The nose offers fruity aromas, among which pineapple, banana and acacia emerge, well accompanied by delicate floral notes. In the mouth it shows elegance and an excellent body, with a good final persistence.
Perfect to accompany appetizers and fish dishes, it marries divinely with fresh cheeses paired with sweet and sour sauces. Excellent also as an aperitif.
