Columbia Valley AVA Cabernet Sauvignon Chateau Smith 2017 Charles Smith Wines

Chateu Smith is a pure Cabernet inspired by the traditional Bordeaux winemaking style.

It is mainly obtained from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, to which small quantities of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc grapes are added. After a fermentation which included a maceration of more than 25 days on the skins, the wine is aged for 10 months, 40% in French oak barrels.

Wine with an intense ruby red color, it evokes on the nose clear sensations of black berried fruits, graphite and wet earth. In the mouth it is a masterpiece: intense, deep and complex.

Ideal to combine with a grilled steak, it goes very well with a platter of cold cuts and aged cheeses.
