Columbia Valley AVA Riesling Kung Fu Girl 2017 Charles Smith Wines
Description
An out-of-the-box Riesling, created by an out-of-the-box oenologist. So we could define the Kung fu girl , a Riesling born one evening when Charles Smith ate Chinese take-away while watching the famous duel between Lucy Liu and Uma Thurman in Kill Bill.
Vinified in purity in steel containers, in order to keep its characteristics of fruit and freshness intact, it is enriched in breadth and structure by remaining to refine for 2 months in barrique on its own yeasts.
The nose is centered on fruity notes of white pulp peach and citrus, supported by a persuasive minerality. On the palate it is energetic and fresh, with an elegance comparable to that of German Rieslings.
Perfect to serve with typical Asian dishes, it goes well with seafood starters based on molluscs and crustaceans.
