Description
What kind of wine is it
Miraval Rosé from Château Miraval is a rosé from Provence made from Cinsault, Grenache, Rolle, and Syrah. The style is fresh and harmonious, with a fine structure and smoothness that echoes the territory. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks to preserve the primary aromas, while a small part matures in oak barrels for added complexity. The blend expresses the Provençal coast and offers a balanced and versatile profile.
Where does it come from
This rosé comes from Provence, in the Côtes de Provence area, near the towns of Correns, Muriers, Longue, and Romarin.
How is it produced
The grapes are hand-picked in the coolest hours of the morning, with a double selection to ensure quality. After harvesting, all varieties undergo a short maceration, except the Syrah, which is extracted using the saignée method from the free-run must. Fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and a small part ages in oak barrels, giving the wine greater complexity and structure.
Tasting notes
In the glass, it appears pale pink, clear and bright, with light salmon reflections. On the nose, notes of orange zest and pink grapefruit emerge. On the palate, it offers immediate freshness, balanced savoriness, and a fresh, harmonious and delicate sip with citrus hints.
Food pairings
Miraval Rosé pairs well with raw oysters and seafood, enhancing the freshness of the dishes. It's also ideal with seafood pasta such as linguine with clams and seafood risotto, as well as with shrimp and avocado salads. Among regional dishes, it accompanies Provençal bouillabaisse and ratatouille, while for Italian pairings a Mediterranean seafood salad is recommended.
When to serve it
Its balanced structure makes it best enjoyed young. Excellent as a summer aperitif or with light dishes, it also adds a touch of elegance to spring dinners.
