Description
What kind of wine is it
Miraval Rosé from Château Miraval is a rosé from Provence made from Cinsault, Grenache, Rolle, and Syrah. The style is fresh and harmonious, with a fine structure and softness that reflects the terroir. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks to preserve the primary aromas, while a small portion matures in oak barrels for added complexity. The blend expresses the Provençal coast and offers a balanced and versatile profile.
Where does it come from
This rosé is produced in Provence, in the Côtes de Provence area, near the towns of Correns, Muriers, Longue, and Romarin.
How it is made
The grapes are hand-picked during the coolest hours of the morning, with double selection to ensure quality. After harvest, all varieties undergo a brief maceration, except for Syrah, which is extracted with the saignée method from free-run juice. Fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, and a small part ages in oak barrels, giving the wine greater complexity and structure.
Tasting notes
In the glass, it appears pale pink, clear, and bright, with light salmon reflections. The nose reveals orange zest and pink grapefruit. On the palate, it offers immediate freshness, balanced savoriness, and a fresh, harmonious, and delicate sip, with citrus notes.
Food pairings
Miraval Rosé pairs well with raw oysters and seafood, enhancing the freshness of the dishes. It is also ideal with seafood-based first courses such as linguine with clams and seafood risotto, as well as shrimp and avocado salads. Among regional dishes, it complements Provençal bouillabaisse and ratatouille, while among Italian pairings, a Mediterranean seafood salad is recommended.
When to serve it
Its balanced structure encourages youthful consumption. Excellent as a summer aperitif or with light dishes, it adds a touch of elegance to spring dinners as well.
