Côtes du Jura AOC Corail 2011 Château d'Arlay
Description
Corail from Château d'Arlay is a red produced in the Cotes Du Jura, France.
It consists of a blend of grapes, both white and red, which reflects the assortment of vines present in the same vineyard: the Pinot Noir grape varieties. Trousseau, Poulsard, Chardonnay and Savagnin are harvested simultaneously and assembled as a blend from the beginning of winemaking. After maceration and alcoholic fermentation, it ages for 2 years in large wooden barrels.
In the glass it is ruby red. The olfactory tone is mainly fruity and reminiscent of ripe red berries, with balsamic and spicy traits. In the mouth it is fresh and fruity but at the same time soft and with a good body. It closes in a tasty flavor.
To be combined with an appetizer of tasty cold cuts.
